Summary |
SBA’s project involved analysis of international
experience and Georgian TVET system needs to support the development of
assessment tools for two new obligatory general modules in TVET programs: Entrepreneurship and Introductory Practice. As a result, full packages of assessment tools and instruments were developed with related
methodology, taking account of
international good practice and

Summary | A Manual for Professional Orientation and Career Planning Managers was developed to enhance a career planning and employers communication strategy for Career Centers of TVET providers in Georgia. The Manual includes a model job description for Orientation and Career Planning Managers and a compilation of good practices and tools that may be applied in career orientation and employment recruitment processes. Forum for Industry Engagement in TVET Sector |

Summary | Along with analysing the students’ needs, research was conducted to identify business needs and the results were used in the modification of the current TVET program to respond to business needs and increase the employability of students. An Employers’ Forum for companies in the tourism industry was organized to strengthen cooperation with the industry. The college also developed an electronic resources portal where college graduates and teachers are able to upload information about their experience, electronic resources, master classes, video files, etc. The portal gives the possibility to private business representatives to choose staff for employment. |

Summary |
The project was focused on building up the AISI College Teacher’s Club "Progress”, first
established in 2012, in order to motivate teachers and offer them opportunities
and space for more interesting, inspiring, challenging and productive ways of mastering
and advancing their professional skills and knowledge, and socializing and
networking. The Club organizes informal gatherings, extra-curricular
activities, trainings and seminars as well as workshops and information
meetings. Engaging teachers in a constant process of career and professional
development has had a positive impact on teaching outcomes and retention of
teachers in the college. |

Development of E-learning Course in IT |

Summary | The first large-scale electronic course in "Information Technologies” is now available for students and teachers at every TVET college (private or public) in Georgia. The e-course, an obligatory learning module at every specialty in Georgian TVET system, can be accessed at the Georgian Technical University (GTU) server (http:tvet.gtu.ge). The course has two levels of access for students and for teachers and includes self-evaluation tests so that students can determine whether they are ready for final tests. Beneficiaries may freely use the e-course as a distance-learning teaching module - it is accessible remotely for students in remote mountainous areas and by socially disadvantaged groups who cannot attend classes at a specific time. The web-based e-course module can also help in the development of professional e-courses for other obligatory modules. |

Summary | The project was focused on improvement of the employment capabilities of school graduates through informal education by developing knowledge and competences to condition their labor efficiency and competitive ability. By studying the labor market demand in the region and analyzing ideas of students, the occupations of tailor, turner, mushroom-cultivator, computer operator and furniture designer were identified as being in the highest demand. A social enterprise was formed where students are mastering their skills in the school workshop. |

Summary | The non-formal education program through work-based learning of Georgian Employers Association (GEA) was improved aimed at combating unemployment by establishing a flexible human resources management mechanism in member companies, developing new economic possibilities for project beneficiaries, strengthening the involvement of business and citizens and popularizing the TVET system in general. A model designed to bring about a shift from short-term to longer-term youth employment was piloted at JSC Mina. |
