National TVET Awards winners revealed

National TVET Awards winners were revealed at the gala event held on 31st of October, 2017 at Biltmore Hotel. US Ambassador to Georgia, Ian C. Kelly and Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Alexander Jejelava attended the TVET Award ceremony.
 

The winners and runner-ups in the following four categories were revealed:


TVET Student of the year


1.Award WinnerNikoloz Tsiklauri – LEPL community college "IT Academy”

2.Archil Gobejishvili – vocational college "Spektri”


TVET Professional of the year


1.Award Winner Manuel Faundes-Baranda – NPLE vocational college "Icaros”

2.Inezi Parunashvili – LEPL vocational college "Modusi”


TVET Provider of the year


1.Award Winner NPLE vocational college "Icaros”

2.LEPL community college "Akhali Talga”


TVET Business Partner of the year


1.Award Winner - Adjara Group Hospitality for cooperation with Georgian Culinary Academy of Agricultural University of Georgia

2.BP Georgia for cooperation with Georgian Technical University


"National TVET Awards is organized for the first time in Georgia and is a very big event for Georgian TVET sector. Our main goal is to make TVET more popular and attractive in the country. It is very important that parents and students understand well what opportunities are there in the vocational education”, - said Magda Magradze, CEO of Millennium Challenge Account – Georgia.


The general sponsor of the event was Ina Gudavadze- Patarkatsishvili.
